WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

It sounds like it was.
On the one hand, they fixed it quickly (30 minutes on a weekend with how they work is nothing to sneeze at). On the other hand, if this happened in rush hour, it'd be a massive, unadulterated cluster****.

This is happening as the MTA is doing a massive restructuring of its operating systems internally. The transit expert Andy Byford, who did yeoman work with Toronto and London's systems, may lose some of his power to continue the solid work he's done with the NYC subways.

Typical NYS backroom politricks at at work here.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

So went out today in the ridiculous heat. Was 35C here.

Still enjoyed it though.

We're about 2 hours from the epicenter of chateau hand in France. Better known as the Loire Valley. There's lots of them here.

There's on particular that I wanted to see. I used to have a 3D puzzle of it. Got it as a gift.

This is Chateau Chenonceau.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I can only imagine the level of cluster***kery a transit shutdown could cause in Gotham. I was stuck in a major traffic jam near home the other day that cost a Dolphins player an arm amputation. I was p****d beyond comprehension thinking it was road construction until I learned Kendrick Norton was injured.
Oh, it was a toilet job. At least they're getting better at attempting to communicate delays. But when you've got two trains in the station with doors open and each train's conductor AND the platform PA system giving slight variations of updates simultaneously...

Nice shot.

I wonder how many serfs got exploited to build these things... Oop, did I say that out aloud?

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

One of my friends thought that I was 24 . He didn't believe that I was 29 and told me that the 20s sucked and that 30 is so much better. It will be interesting to see if this is true in a few months. I have read and heard this various times.

The expression is because we have been friends for a while so how can one be so off?!
You sounded like one of the few women who were miffed at being told they were younger than their stated age...

...or were you also miffed based on how socially we will see the decade of the 20s as an age of immaturity, no matter where you are?

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

So I played around with some manual settings today. Turned on HDR. Messed around with exposure.

I also took a RAW photo. I edited but it looks like the one above.

The picture above is an HDR photo. I did a small crop in Snapseed because my photos are too large. Nothing else done.I have a whole bunch to post but I'll wait.

If you want to be technical anyone who works for someone else is a form of serfdom...

From what I've found out so far in most western European countries serfdom was abolished/fell into disuse in the 13-14th century . The Loire valley chateau date from the 16th.

Chateau were the work of master craftsman. Yes there were labourers as well but everyone got paid. Just like on construction sites today. You wage is dependant on your skills.

I felt that way because I think it doesn't make sense to be friends with someone for years but not know how old they are. I can get being a year or so off but 5 years is like, what are you doing? You have celebrated more than one birthday with me. When I say celebrate, I mean like doing something for my birthday.

If someone who doesn't really know me at all or super well say that, it's alright.

As for the 20s being immature, I'm indifferent as long as it is hopefully better than the beginning of the 20s. I have been trying to do the work with myself (I'm aware that it is ongoing) and one of the things I'm working on in my sessions is being a better advocate for myself. I have heard other women say that you're less likely to just take stuff.

Beautiful shot! That's good that it was worth it for you to go out in such heat.

I figured you'd go technical and I wasn't disappointed...

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I think it should be fine, as long as it isn't too beat up or I have battery problems. I'll test it out on the trip though.

I really do want to get the Gear Sport fixed, now that I think about it more. I suspect it's a battery issue, as both of these watches had that problem. I was hunting for a spare battery for the S3 but no luck so far.
I like the styling of the S3 classic vs the frontier. It's a nice addition. It's in the same type silver as the Huawei Watch.

So I'll add a few bands. I had a black leather and brown leather with silver buckles I kept unused from the Q Explorist 3. I added a silicone band for exercise. I'll likely add the two tone silver and black, and silver and cherry wood.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Two special visitors came by to the house and stayed for dinner.

Siblings of Mickey. They were of the same litter. We last saw them back in March...
