WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Got to pull together an in service training on burnout for tomorrow morning before going to do a home visit (if it got scheduled by the client while I was out as we agreed). I'm doing some research but thankfully had pulled together the burnout instrument a few weeks in advance. It should be an interesting conversation.

The plan is to open with people doing the instrument and get into some theory and discussion of techniques to better manage burnout. It's a very clinical sort of approach. That'd be a more PC way to discuss some of the recent unhealthy programmatic changes.

Half the stuff that was delivered is ready for pick up. So I'll set the phone up today and likely start using it on Friday, as I won't able to stop by come Thursday at the earliest after work.

I don't like the laziness where the clerks stuffed my SopiGard skin in my small *** mailbox that they saw was full. Got the damn thing bent out of shape. SMH.
Screen does have scratches. They're a lot more than I'd like but honestly, not that bad. There was no burn in and the body is clean - both big concerns for me. I can slap a tempered glass on it and be OK. Just putting the 9.0 update on it now and will do a reset and restore from the V35 when I get the screen protector.

Went with the blue carbon fiber instead. Just need to transfer over the data from the V35 and go from there. I'm semi excited to start using this device.

Take it from me, you want health first and foremost. I know it’s not the first thing on your mind when you’re in your 20s and 30s but remember Father Time is undefeated.
When we start working the last thing on our minds is retirement! But that's usually where we end up... Plan towards that.. not being dependent on others, passive income, a spot by the beach, fave beverage in hand... sunset views, optional

LG did some sneaky good stuff last year. It's just that their pricing was off and their flaws got magnified because of their pricing. If they hag the G8's camera in the G7 (and were building on that in 2019), they'd be in a much better place.

It's interesting to hear that Pixel users are getting Android Q and LG still hasn't pushed 9.0 to their G6 users. It's that disposable feeling that makes it hard for people to early adopt their products.

This has been a very interesting exercise to prepare so far. Shouldn't have done this last minute but there was no opportunity at work to do so.

Back in again. Everytime I leave the city I can feel the city stress melt away and whenever I get back, I can feel the city armor slipping back on to me all CGI style to get back to the grind. SMH.

I still really like the city, but 15 year in, the crazy love feeling is long gone. Perhaps is a combination of age and displeasure as to where the city is going...it just doesn't feel the same.

Need more peace, quiet and stability.
I spent my childhood in the suburbs, but I don't think I'd be able to tolerate the extreme solitude of the suburbs other than on holidays. I'd be bored if I didn't live in the city.

Ok some different topics.

First, my smartwatch.

So I really like it. On the whole it accomplishes what I want but I need to sort out a couple of things with the music controls and some minor changes to notifications. Not sure whats going on there. Though I'm not sure if this has to do with my phone or the watch.

Overall I'm happy.

The only thing is I need to get used to wearing a watch still! I still forget to look at my wrist for the time.

Next, the new Tool album.

I probably need to listen to the whole album a few times but currently there's two songs that are decent, maybe three and the rest is mostly meh.

Slightly disappointed about that.

I don't expect an exact duplicate of the other albums but I was hoping for that Tool sound and lyrics to be there. It appears lacking overall and I can't quite put my finger on what's bothering me about it.

Also I know it's Tool but I was hoping for some influences from A Perfect Circle and even Puscifier to be in there. Instead it's Tool which feels a little muted. It feels sort of dated maybe? Don't know. Maybe I'll feel different after a few listens but right now I'm not feeling it.

A lot of reviewers have liked it but at this point in time I'm at a 2/5.

Seems like a massive recession may be the best case scenario right now. Again, I don't understand how this was allowed to happen, but here we are...

For the UK is was a failure of parliament.

First for allowing the referendum to go out on a minor majority instead of the usual 60% typically required for something this important. Mind you it was indicated during the parliament sessions to be an 'advisory referendum' at the time of the act but for some reason that was never indicated after that. It turned into a 'this is it' scenario.

Second was agreeing to trigger Article 50 of the treaty without any plan whatsoever. For some reason, which by all accounts seems to be more about rich people's money than anything else, there was this rush to push this forward without much thought. Thus creating the current mess.

Third, even when a real 'deal' was achieved, based on sticking to the UK's red lines and using their idea for the Irish Backstop, they still voted it down.

Lastly, in truth, regardless how stupid I think this whole thing is and how damaging it will be for poor people and the world economy on the whole. The UK should just leave without a deal and get on with it. There was never really any possibility of a deal that will make everyone happy. If people still to this day fully believe they're better outside the EU regardless of the consequences the get on with it.

The decisions to leave the EU is all based on anger, lies and fear. Negative emotions which the negative mass media and leaders have used well. Take those emotions, wrap a flag around them and call it patriotism and off you go.

There has been such a poor challenge to the half truths and lies from the Brexit campaign that it's saddening. It's really not surprising that we're here.

Anyway, I still have the popcorn ready...

I should also point out that due to the nature of the UK government I wholly believe they rather crash out than have this public debate. Why do I think that?

Because it's in their nature. All governments to some extent are rather shady. The UK one hates being public about anything, especially when it comes to trade.

My thoughts are this.

The UK crashes out. They approach the EU. Give the EU what they want. Sign trade deal. All in private though so no one knows the details. Yes that's how the UK normally does things.

I fully believe this has always been the UK's plan.

I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. I just think they went about things in such a way that any self respecting cluster**** would be proud.

We have governments in place in theory that should make the hard decisions for the betterment of everyone. Not just or some group screaming louldy in the peanut gallery, everyone. Not everyone will be happy. That's fine. But when you're ******* off more people than you're supposed to, or boldly manipulating people with slapstick arguments/alternative facts, then you don't have the true will of the people in mind.

Yup. Utter trainwreck ahead. And I don't think they're going to get much more in trade from DJT's administration either.

Oh it's totally and utterly a mess. There were plenty of times to stop this getting to this point but the opposition failed miserably every time.

I can understand why the opposition did what they did. A large portion of the constituencies were theirs that voted to leave. But all it's done is give the government the power instead of being a real opposition.

Governments are no longer 'for the people, by the people'. I'm not entirely sure that's even a slogan recognizable in today's politics. Doubt it was then either...

Governments bow down to money and making themselves look good. Period. Nothing more. It's really bad in Australia with their short terms.

Democracy is not real and has never been real. Unfortunately most people still think voting is about putting someone into government you like, not about policies. Until we grow out of that thinking things will never change.

As for the current crisis. Lies, half truths and making people angry seems to be the way things are done. It's more evident in the USA but this divisive way of doing politics is happening everywhere for the sole reason of divide and conquered. It's easier to do things with a messed up populace than one that is on the ball.

This is human civilization going down the trash can. Maybe once the next two generations are gone (one being mine) and if the world is still functional, maybe things will get better but I don't know anymore.

Morbidly depressing the prospects are. But, there's still life to love, bull**** to sift through, and stupid actions to still laugh at.

Back on the lock again. Went in an hour early to sew up this in service. Not looking forward to checking my messages. Always hope for quiet and always expect a cluster****.
