I have to say I think Google really messed up this time but I'm noticing that a few review sites are stating it's the best Android phone already...

Lack of fingerprint scanner is a big one too.

Another issue is the lack of wide-angle camera. I use wide-angle more than telephoto.

I agree. Though my camera has a good range at 4:3. I only use wide when I'm trying to capture everything. I figured out how to get rid of the fisheye effect as well or reduce it. Wide angle is going to do that kind of thing and it's software that 'fixes' it.

I found the telephoto lens useful in the right conditions of course. Depends what you're taking a photo of.

Been a lengthy nine days in one city... going home tomorrow. Gonna get some shopping done. There are so many markets in the HCMC, both day and night ones in just one district.. Be prepared to haggle for bargains.

Most of the picts are on Gcam, Nokia 8.1. Usually on default auto settings or night sight. Quite satisfied with the camera
The battery on N8.1 is decent, it'll last 8-10hours with GPS on as I need maps and Grab-cab.
I bought along my 950XL as back up realised I had hardly used it as a phone or camera. I bought along the display hub and connected it to the hotel TV (incld mouse & small roll-up keyboard). I'd copy all pictures shot on the N8.1 to a pendrive and plug it into the hub and view the pictures on the TV screen.
Continuum have its uses still...

The gator is the middle of the grass.

The 'Glades are an awesome place indeed and not as "advertised" as other national parks. The diversity of animal life is mind-boggling. I'm immune to gator sightings since they end up in a backyard pool every now and then. Was this your first encounter? Oh, and how'd the Skeeters treat you?

I've been to Florida before so not a first time encounter. Seen plenty of crocodiles in India and Africa as well.

The Skeeter was just fine with the noise protection headset.

Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission sends a trapper out. I believe 6’ and less are “relocated” while larger ones become purses and matching boots. Sucks but that’s the way it is.

I think its Vietnamese robusta beans. The white liquid is tasted like a mixture of coconut cream & milk or condensed milk.
The more familiar brew would be caphe sua nongame, (where strong hot unfiltered coffee is dripped into sweet condensed milk)....
