This is true, but at least with more options, you have the illusion that there's more.

For politics, eh. For other things (like meeting people), more choices can be encouraging.
Lots of people find too many choices overwhelming.

After China imposed a ban on importing plastic trash, most of the trash was diverted to South East Asia. Malaysia became the world's dumping ground for recycled plastics
Its big business, both legal and illegal. There was no way we could cope, a lot ended up being unrecyled, unprocessed and stockpile in illegal mountainous dumpsites.
Last year was a temporary halt to imports, but it as resumed with tighter regulations.

The sad part is those people living near those are never fully consulted or aware of the dangers, and always the ones that suffer.

They really need to consider launching all into the nearest black hole in our galaxy...

If anyone is interested. This is a news story from Australia Four Corners about how China has handled the Covid-19 outbreak.

It's pretty shocking so if you're a bit sensitive I'd suggest not watching but it does give a very good overview of things.

On days like today, when I have to get down and dirty to do my job, I'm glad I have some options where I don't have to take some uber expensive device with me.

Good news is that I took two days off from work. The bad news is I still have three works days, including today to get through first.

I'm only interested if instead of plastic it's a cargo container or two filled with politrickians. Cannot pay for everything, but I'd help pay for that.

For sure, I don't disagree generally. When it seems tough, it's encouraging to know that what you're experiencing/dealing with isn't all that's there. By this, I mean people, and heck, even finding housing.

It's encouraging to know that if I wish to go with a house type, there are options that I can go for and weed accordingly. It's better than having none that I can pick from, which is kind of how it feels at times. If I just changed the house type, I would feel less discouraged.

I didn't get the Corona-itch as bad as MIA but I desperately needed to move away from iOS before I suffered a device-smashing meltdown. Don't get me wrong, it's a fine OS if you're into social media and media consumption in general but the lack of a proper file management system usually leads to my frequent Apple hiatus. As I was searching my memory bank on recent devices that probably merit a second look and thinking about what could be, it all comes back to the fact that I simply can't handle 19:9 or similar aspect ratios. I was happiest with the LG Intuition and BlackBerry Passport for crying out loud! I know those wide-screen wonders of yore are no longer viable so I'll have to make do with a more recent 16:9 kit. My thumbs are too long and too thick for narrow keyboards, hard as I may try to make them work. Rheumatoid arthritis also plays a role but that's another matter. I miss my Xperia XA2 Ultra but that camera is just God-awful in point-and-shoot mode and T-Mobile doesn't play nice with it for some reason. I'm thinking XZ Premium if I can get one at a reasonable price. It's not right that a 2017 device still commands over $200. We'll see. I gotta go and get some Cortizone for this itch.
