I hate this pandemic. It has officially cancelled graduation for me. Not excited about having my in-person class to be moved online, but not having graduation sucks.

So my regalia is just going to sit in the bag it came in...unless I decide to do a photo shoot later on.

That really sucks! After all your hard work, it would've been nice to dress up in your academic attire and walk across the stage for your degree.

@MSFTisMIA On a health related topic: I have an appointment for a checkup with my GP tomorrow. I thought about cancelling it, due to COVID-19. That won't be necessary. Since I'm not feeling ill, the doc is going to call me on the phone rather than have me come to her office. That's fine with me, since I'd definitely rather stay away from sick people.

So I have a V40 in good condition - T-mobile unlocked - that I may be open to sending to a smoke free home. PM me for details if it piques your interest.
I've decided to keep it and to just drop another 256GB card in there, get to more the manual mode some more and shoot some videos primarily. For all its warts, it's still a very solid camera system. It's not that I don't think it's worth replacing with the V50, I'm not willing to swap it for peanuts and pay out of the nose for the Korean variant.

Photo shoot! Especially when you have the diploma in hand.

I'll wait a few more months. I want a 128GB model and am not liking the prices I see. Am in no rush, as much as the itch wants to test drive something else.

I almost bought a pixel 2 xl the other day. But could not find a 128GB model for around 100. They are cheap though. However even the OnePlus 7 pro is just over 300 now used.

Think we're over the initial stress of being in lockdown-lite. We didn't actually do heavy stock up, just bought extra bags of rice, noodles, frozen meat, etc. We have vegetables growing in the back - ladyfingers, and leafy greens. So we are OK in that sense. No hoarding of TP. Shops ran out of sanitisers two week ago ... so it's mask, soap, soap, soap...
Have only been out of the house couple of times , to top up on petrol for the car and some foodstuff.
One thing I learn is losing faith in those people who believes having faith in God solves everything and the sheer stubborn recklessness of denying and disregarding everything else outside their walled garden.

Did a bit of shooting with the old 950XL, not too shabby for a 5yr old cam.

Many primary care offices have shifted into urgent care mode for the most part. Either they're canceling routine or be visits like yours outright and they're doing much more telemedicine.

I'll think about it. By the time they mail the diploma, it might even be fall or end of summer LOL. My friend and former coworker (she upgraded in job, thanks to this degree, so she's out) graduated in December and was still waiting for her diploma in the last week of February.

I hate that people feel like they have to choose, or use it as an excuse to be stupid. It is possible to have that faith but also take precaution/follow guidance.
As you said, it's also not time to be individualistic.

I cannot completely slam people for this behavior. It is incredibly difficult to ask people to adjust to a more communal based approach from that free market mentality that they're used to. Not since the Civil War has the country experienced something internally affecting all areas. This is the first national disaster in all likelihood.

I agree the quicker people adjust, the better it is for everyone. I just don't think some people will give us this mentality.

You're absolutely right. It really is.

I feel like people can't have it both ways. By that, I mean, complaining about this affecting business/work, but then not following directions. From what I understand about this, the longer people don't listen, the longer it will be around.
