You're absolutely right. It really is.

I feel like people can't have it both ways. By that, I mean, complaining about this affecting business/work, but then not following directions. From what I understand about this, the longer people don't listen, the longer it will be around.
You live in 'Murica. The hustle is to have it every and any kinda way you want - even when reality doesn't fit.

I hear that. The way I see it can be that this is due to those who lead this way. And by example folks follow. I have seen dudes slightly younger than me treat life as if it is suppose to hand them everything, because that is how they grew up, or how they were lead. I feel sorry for those even in the last decade who chose to raise their children by putting them in front of a cell phone or tablet as the babysitter. Yes, there is a complacency about it, but there is a whole lot of lack of wisdom in how people do things nowadays. If comes across as wisdom then you have to be careful that it is not disguised as selfishness, or greed.

The country was founded on this mentality nearly 300 years ago. To expect it to disappear without the work needed to replace it with something better is asinine...

The tricky part is convincing oneself to think that way.

In lot of ways, when you have the means in life to do much, suddenly you are faced with the obstacle of having that "much done" done for you, or just sitting there without a clue how to use it.

This has nothing to do with the matter but I was surprised at how much landscapers charge to remove Saguaro. Right at about 800 dollars to remove the entire thing. In the end I ended up saving myself just over 1500 by doing it myself, and I was fortunate to have some help with a truck to dump it all. I almost caved and allowed it to be cleaned up for me at a convenience cost. I am also fortunate enough that I like doing that kind of stuff and am capable. Most people would hate to do something like that. Now I am hoping my neighbors 2 saguaros fall over in a year or two, in hopes I can undercut the competition one day...:) and I would gladly help them because they are elderly.

The other thing I have been seeing lately is folks getting taken advantage of. By either hoax spam callers or computer fraud. I mean I have seen it for decades being in IT and witnessing it all through my career, but even more so in the past 12 months because it people I know personally experiencing it.

What a week. Bizarre would be a good word.

It's going to take time to adjust to this. I don't mind the staying at home so much as the working from home. It's been interesting.

I'm get the feeling this will be for some time too. I'm curious about the project I'm on as well. If it's going to slow down or not. That's one of the issues we currently have with it. If it were to slow then we can get on top of things, hopefully.

We've managed to get out a couple of times this week. Still no printer so had to hand write the declaration.

It's been interesting...

I believe it with working from home.

Wow hand writing a declaration sounds terrible to me.

I'd prefer cluster****, but bizarre is a nice way to put it. I'm watching my work flow slowly implode with all the agency closings. Well, I'll find a way forward.

This half week, I learned that confusion is exhausting. It's a half week because I was off (our spring break) for some days of the week. I was glad when work was over because of how exhausting confusion is.

Glad to have 2 days off from using so much energy trying to understand the next course of action. I need the break. Enough that when something is finally stabilized (as in, are we going in or are we continuing this teleworking thing that isn't sustainable for a long period of time), I will take an actual day off.

The best way to put this is how my brother described it to me: this is what happens when you try to make a non-teleworking job become a teleworking job.

This is true and I agree for myself.
Only thing I needed an update on was the HTC 10. Business is closed so I'm not counting that. In total I have access to a G7+, V35, V40, 950 XL, Mate 20 Pro, 9 Pureview, Mi 9. I think I'm genuinely OK. Ton of specialty stuff so I can keep on with that.

I forgot that you do have such a range of stuff. That sounds like it will be very interesting for you.

The covid-19 topic is very wearing, simply because I want to be able to consume news about it on my own terms. I don't like being force fed it, especially when it's the first thing that someone wants to talk about or tune into the TV about. I get it, the situation is evolving so it's important to keep abreast of pertinent changes. The out there masquerading as information though is a slog to get through.

Yeah, there's stuff to use. Never had this many ever at one time. While there's a uff there I would swap out, I'm not really pushing to add anything else.

I think the hardest part for me so far with the COVID-19 crisis is looking in certain places and seeing a severe dearth of leadership. It just stokes the anxiety flames even more. Still, I will continue to focus on what I can control.
