Rammstein's Till Lindemann tested positive and is on intensive care. Hope he gets better, because I'd really like to seem them live at some point.

I know it sounds a bit selfish, but many musicians I wanted to see live have already passed away, that's my fear right now.

It too allows you to have a bigger picture. I work in IT so this is easy for me to say or do. I would love to get formal code/prgramming lessons, but I do not have time nor money etc. I know mostly VB, some c, python, and a touch of others. Mostly today I do a lot of scripting on the fly for database work or system admin work. Several or more years ago I did a lot of vb when managing a sharepoint site. Point being knowing all this together along with all my other background helps me solve problems a lot faster than an average tech who might only know 1 or 2 things really well. The extent of my CAD design is using trimble sw (ie sketchup) but I mainly use it for personal use for speaker enclosures etc and love what it can do. I am not certain what you will really need LISP or VB for in your work or even mysql (another great thing to learn or pickup) but I bet you be glad you have it in your tool box later on.
MySQL is the backbone of a lot of things these days. Internet related especially.

However, a lot of design work is done on specialist 3D software that use catalogues which are databases.

AutoCAD is a database as well. You can hook it up to one and transfer information back and forth. You can actually draw things using database information.

Database is more useful than programming in design but both are handy if you wanted to get into design administration.

Also a lot of engineering input is going into these software packages now. So they're turning into a package for design, engineering and construction.

This is more industrial based. Not really for the real small companies out there but more are being pushed to use the packages if they want to stay relevant and work with bigger companies.

Anyone planning on getting a Sony Xperia 1 II? I am digging the design of it honestly.
I currently own the Sony Xperia 1.

Don't require a new phone or 5G at the moment.

I do like the 1 but it does have its drawbacks.

Overall though I'm happy with it.

We just had our MCO (Movement Control Order) extended for another two weeks. Some places had higher number of cases and will be in tight lockdown, perhaps curfew...
Will need to do some shopping cos there is another 2 weeks more of extended MCO ahead. Religious congregation at one mosque is the single largest cluster thats directly linked to over 60% of the cases, and most of infected cases involving healthcare frontliners. We are now bracing ourselves for the third wave, and expect to peak in mid April.

I am guessing in those religious circumstances they do not have the capability to go virtual. My Church has been completely virtual for the past 3 weeks now.

Why aren't prayers at the mosque banned? They are here, for a good reason.

I don't think it is. This time is crazy and a lot of concerts have been postponed or cancelled. We all want them to pull through, since not only are they human, they provide art to us.

Same but for 2 weeks now. I was there on March 8, since my church is smaller and doesn't have a high number of people who attend. I didn't know that would be the last time though. It's weird to think about.

People need to take this seriously.

It was a tabligh attended by some 15,000 worshippers. Apparently big gathering like this requires govnt approval back in January. We had a change in government, but somebody drop the ball. The organiser went ahead with the gathering even as the virus was a known threat at the point in time.

That's a bit irresposible, to put it mildly. All religious activites that require gatherings have been long canceled here, even Friday prayer for muslims and Sunday prayer for christians.

Virtual, as in online? There's only one mosque that does this here, only on fridays and it's broadcasted on one TV station, so who ever wants to watch it, can do it with no effort at all. And I think that's just enough.

Our Student Center has two large dorms. One is a huge building (I'm in that one) and the other one is quite literally a settlement, with bunch of smaller buildings and stuff. The latter one has been, as of yesterday, turned into a quarantine. Now, that's a bit of an odd decision.

There are at least 2 state owned hotels just in the capital and a bunch of smaller residencies. These could have served a purpose. There are at least 2 giant sport centres that could have also served a purpose. But no. They go for a student dorm.

And how do they let students know? They made a public announcement at 19:00 yesterday, that every resident needs to empty their room by 12:00 the next day, knowing that every single student is at their homes, some not even remotely close.

Just Balkan things.

Wow, that's so sad. I'm sorry.

Yep, you got it. My church uses Facebook Live when there are services.
