Don't think Ramadan is going to help things any...

I was about to write that. Brace yourselves.

As far as Bosnia concerned, Friday prayers are still canceled and the night time prayers during Ramadan should be off as well, we're just waiting for confirmation.

I want to say I'm not that worried about our people here, but I've been proven wrong too many times.

I wondered how that would be like. It seems like it would be hard.

As far as fasting in quarantine, it should be bussines as usual. It's the night time prayers that could be the issue. Which are not a must, they're optional. But we've seen people going berserk over smaller things lately.

I have. That's true about the dimensions. That should be fine, as it's slightly smaller than the S10e.

My concern is the cameras and the battery life. I learned that apparently the zoom isn't there for the camera. I don't want to downgrade there. With no night mode, I have to see how that looks. I knew but didn't realize the impact on photos. Low light is more important than night mode for me. Battery life is to be determined, but that's secondary. I care about battery life, but if it's worse, I'm not interested.
If you've seen the XR camera, and are OK with that, then should expect similar performance with the SE2. The battery is the same with the iPhone 8, and with the newer chip you should get a bit better run time. How you feel about the iPhone 8's battery is up to you.

I had the XR for 12 days and the experience was okay. I was fine with it on the camera. I liked the iPhone 7 a lot, enough that I had it two times. I changed my phone since I wanted to try Face ID.

Without knowing, you helped me on this. It seems like battery life would probably be similar to my S10e. I'll find out in 2 days. The battery life might be the weak link here.

Edit: So I keep editing. Thanks to the Verge, I have learned that low light photos are noisy. As someone who takes concert pictures every time, I can't. That is important to me. This kind of thing is why I was on the fence. Amazing phone but might not be for me. I'm going to watch more reviews.

Down the rabbit hole you've gone, I see.

Unfortunately here I think people are starting to break. There's very little sense of anyone caring.

The nice weather isn't helping.

I'm expecting a spike again.
I'm preparing for a spike. The plans I had for the fall to take the gf to Vegas for a landmark birthday went up in smoke the moment the first case of COVID-19 was reported out of China. That got confirmed during the first case here.

Dead men tell no tales, pay no bills and make no money. When I watch these protests talk about wanting choice of their bodies, I wish the ER staff would have the same choice to deny care if the protesters got sick afterwards. Privilege is an annoying thing to deal with most times.

I'm looking forward to getting the SE 2020 in the fall. Project Red 128 GB model. Grab a screen protector and wooden case for it. Next I'd get a HP Envy 13T 2020 for my personal issue and split off the Lenovo for work.

Vegas... I was just watching the Anderson's interview with the mayor of Las Vegas.. I'm flabbergasted.
We get our much needed comic relief from the stupid utterances from our own politician. Most have been slip of the tongue of those in power that are totally out of their depth.

The month of Ramadan will be a big test here, it'll be hard to stop the traditional mass gathering at bazaars and exodus from the city to the villages. Hope common sense prevail.
The declining numbers for the past has encouraging, but looks like the MCO (lockdown-lite ) will be extended.

Back to tech... just updated my 4½ yr old laptop to the latest Windows (2004?).
To be honest, I've hardly used my laptop in months, it was stuttering laggy as hell.
But post update speed... its been pretty zippy. A good time to get back to my spreadsheet...

Another day on the grind that is lock down. Need a vacation where I can sit on a beach with a slight breeze, a cold adult beverage and some visual eye candy.

I can confirm that the Xperia 1 and 5 have the worst fingerprint scanner going.

It's just doesn't work. It's complete garbage.

I love the feature on the Lenovo with the web cam kill switch. I keep that on permanently because I don't want to be seen on camera on these Zoom calls.

People got to be careful when on the webcam as you may reveal more than what you bargain for...

That sounds awesome!

That's a thing we talked about in class the other week. It feels very personal. For class, I don't turn on my camera until it's time to.

Lol! Yes I have. I'm feeling like I should have waited but it's been shipped so what I can do, aside from choosing not to open it and return it.
I gave up a long time ago of having one device to fit all my needs. Even though the V50 looks to be a good fit as a daily driver, I'm not going to sit here and claim it covers everything well.

These things are still sadly designed for OEMs to make money from us getting new ones.

It's official, all religious gatherings during Ramadan are forbidden. Got to say it's a relief.

Since you've had both, which was worse - Xperia 1/5 or Nokia 9 Pureview?
At this moment, I've pretty much given up using the fps on the Xperia 1 & 5 it's that bad. I've tried to redo the finger scan several times. Same result. It works maybe 2-3 times a day. If I'm lucky.

I'm not sure but I think the PV 9 actually works most of the time?

Not sure if they actually trialled this fps before implementing it. Whoever came up with it should be fired.

The power button one was the best one ever. It worked flawlessly.

So sad to see such crap on a flagship.

I've been thinking about buying a cover for mine. We're currently using my laptop for French classes. We don't turn it on but it's always a better feeling knowing you can't be seen.

I've seen that video of the lady who forgot... Though how one does that is odd to me.
