WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I can somewhat agree with the anarchist and their take on police. Not everything, but some things are thought provoking.

Search Youtube for Cracked video "Why cops won't help you when you're getting stabbed". I can't paste links from WC app, which is super annoying.

That's where the missunderstanding comes from, I thought you meant ideal sine wave (not really ideal, but you get what I'm trying to say).
When we talked about inverting DC to AC, we generally talked about stepped up rectangular waves that mimic sine waves, or the saw shaped ones.
Thyristors are stepped. IGBT (and similar) are PWM.

To smooth out a stepped wave is easy. PWM is not that difficult either

To give an idea how easy. Look up dv/dt filter from MTE. It's not a perfect sine wave but a lot better.

For harmonics you can check out a company called Mirus International.

Not many companies care that much about the drive output and motors don't really care either, in general.

The filters are used to give extra cable length. Usually drive cables like to be short as possible. PWM simply doesn't travel well.

There's other ways of smoothing the signal as well. Typically with larger motors they'll use higher pulse drives to get a smoother curve. With HV drives it's very common. But even then cable length is limited.

Still at home.

Tired of working at my dining table.

The weather is nice but a bit windy.

There was a temporary amusement park in the park behind me. They're now taking it down.

That's it.

I feel this. I wonder how to deal when you are tired of working from the same spot but you don't even have other areas to work at.

I get more space when the gf is at work to use the kitchen table. Otherwise it's one of the smaller rooms I use when she's home and have to navigate privacy issues a different way. Sigh.

I'd be more comfortable to work from home if this was a bigger apartment. But since it ain't, I use have to switch on my working mindset wherever I have to seat and work.

Sigh.

New daily driver setup is on hold. In hand feel is great - exactly what I was hoping. The issues are:

1) While the general dimensions are similar to the V40, it's not the same. The button placement (slightly lower) and the FPS (slightly higher) have been altered. So the current case fits generally but not quite. The second skin I have has the same issue. Screen protector fits perfectly though.

2) It needs a case and skin badly to reduce scratches. It is as flush as the 9 Pureview and 75% as slippery.

The Pixel accessories are just trickling in. Both are on 9 Pie but 10 updates on deck. Will wait first before updating both.

There are certain things in your youth that stick with you music wise. My first appreciation for EDM style music came from a 1996 classic game from Milestone Entertainment: Screamer 2. The OST is still so, so good all these years later, if this is your type of genre. Only 8 songs, but they get you going...at least they do for me.

The memories to that...I'd never imagine being where I am now if I were able to talk to myself in 1997. That's the life for you...

I never heard of that game, but I'm interested in checking out the music. I like many different genres. Is there a soundtrack album available?

I'm same as Laura, not familiar with Screamer2... I guess I was into first person shooter stuff... although I was into AOEmpires and Total Annihilation.. the later had a kickass classical orchestral soundtrack
Memories..

This was a racing game...competing with titles like Ridge Racer. I played the original and preferred Screamer 2 much more. Graphics were very good for the era.

Here is the OST:

To Ray's point, I was more of a Civilization III guy vs Age of Empires. Here's their kick *** OST:

And this is one of the greatest from Final Fantasy VII:

Some games do a great job of selecting existing music (Asphalt 8). Others so an excellent job of coming up with their own scores. Many of them using classical scores, such as the Final Fantasy series.

I've heard great classical scores for RPGs, rock for FP shooters, smooth jazz for arcade fighting games, etc. Really good stuff.

Aww they are so cute! I don't know anything about the music or the games, I just saw these cuties so I had to respond.

GTA San Andreas has one of the best soundtracks out there. No matter the station, it's just pure gold.

I won't take the opportunity to go in, there...I'll just say I can tell what your priorities are in that scenario...
