WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I was looking into Pixel 3A more and more in the past day or two as MIA proposed. Gotta say, the camera is the real deal, nothing to say there. But the looks are meh and performances seem somewhat subpar in it's category.

But I wouldn't mind it that much, as much I as I would the stock Android/Pixel launcher, what ever it is. Don't like the looks of it. It's better than MIUI, but still not my cup of tea.

I also checked S10 and S10+. Wish I hadn't. Now I like those.

We officially have an epidemic here again. I was talking about a second wave, literally a day or two ago.

Insert that GTA San Andreas CJ meme.

I think it's just interesting how some people buy a phone, slap on a case and in hand feel never really gets much consideration. For something I have to use daily, I prefer to be in tune with those basics.

I use a clear case. The S10+ is too slippery to handle without a case!

Get your priorities in what you want from the phone and what your budget is before you go browsing.

As someone with access to a S10+, it is slippery...but it ain't got nothing on the V50 or especially the 9 Pureview. The Nokia is slipping out of the box it came in as I'm taking about it.

Xiaomi's been kicking (gotta lend me that gif MIA) as*** in countries such as mine. Good quality, fast and (lately) pretty looking devices that are also cheap? Sign me up.
Care for the upgraded version? I sense this might be more Rue and Mr. Clue's wheelhouse to use.

Why though. It has lame US LTE bands 2 and 4. I can't deal with those Chinese cheap flagship with no real functionality other than fast looking good and good for wifi. I guess it's not really marketed for our country though...
So...i have no interest in 5G right now, because the US carriers are rolling it out this way...tenor.jpg

I don't even care about the LTE bands so much because of my comment on 5G. It does have WiFi 6, so that's a plus. So if someone is in the place where it is fully supported by their network, on a hardware level it's a great option. How you feel about the software and the ads potential is a different discussion.

See, this is why I like this dude. The line that I love for this is "can't tell a next man who to wear him pants" from Complain - Buju Banton feat Garnett Silk

They're trying to move to fast. They need to take some notes out Apple's play book. There is a reason Apple has one of the most powerful mobile SoCs in the world and can do it with a middle groundish battery capacity.

Then again it's a consumer race. They want to do but they want to sell at the same time. Trade offs I guess. Then critics keep complaining yet they asked for 1000nit 4k.screens with 240hz lol.
Apple and Android OEMs have always had a fundamentally different approach here. Apple always used their hardware as the gateway drug to where the reason money is - getting people hooked on software. Android was the polar opposite of being hardware driven, which it still is. It is why you still cannot get major OS and security patches for 3 years across all Android OEMs in 2020. Remember, Apple also controls all elements of their ecosystem, which is why hardware supports software first.

If I lived in a country where I could fully use the device hex yeah I'd buy a xiaomi...

At some point in 5 years when band 2 and 4 or migrated/upgraded to 5G then maybe I'd buy a Chinese branded/marketed device. Until then am stuck with global or north America variants of androids.

I've been through all the major carriers in the past 10 years. Originally on sprint once I left them I never went back for obvious reasons. Ended up on vzw for a while. Then AT&T. Then cricket then landed finally on t-mobile once I realized what was more ideal cost effective and most flexible for phone hacking etc.
