So here's something.

I've worked for a lot of companies but this is a first.

I'm at the office today, luckily.

I cannot use my security card and I cannot login. Why? Because they put some arbitrary expiration date on my account.

I didn't receive an email about this. Had no knowledge this was going to happen.

Yes, I'm still employed, if you're wondering...

However, I'm currently doing nothing while I wait for IT and some other person to show up so I can get my access back.

What silly system.
Ok to add to the humour and weirdness of this whole thing.

Apparently the company I'm working for has all contractors on a rotating three month contract. Why? No idea.

There's 'somebody' that usual deals with renewing a contractors contact before this expiry date. However, this person retired end of March and not sure if they hired someone new or if anyone took their place yet.

Second, it appears that an email is supposed to be sent to my managers to inform them of this as well, to confirm the extension, but they didn't get it.

There's so many failures here I don't know what to think really....

The only good side was that I was at work to deal with this.

In other news my wife did get first podcast interview. She's going to do four more before she starts posting.

Hardest part is finding people to interview.

Those from where you are gave us the Statue of Liberty. She's hiding in shame but that's another matter altogether.
We have several statue of liberty around Paris. Smaller scale though.

One sits in the Musée D'Orsay. Another is near the Bir-Haikim bridge on a man made island, Ile aux Cygnes. One is in Luxembourg garden. Another is at Musée des Arts Métiers, including the original plaster mould. Lastly the flame of liberty is at the Ponte de l'Alma, this is the bridge over the tunnel where lady Diana died.

There are several other liberty statues in France as well.

Also keep in mind that the USA only found immigration useful (like most countries) when it suited them. The statute says one thing but doesn't necessarily mean the USA agrees with it... You could say the sculptor took liberty with it...

I'll get my coat....

In these times of social distance (cases are going down in my area), I had to get an outdoor chair. Found one with a visor, phone pocket, and of course the mesh drink holder. I'm actually looking forward to it, it seems like it can possibly be worth the price.

I've got a good recommendation for anyone having to make phone calls and worried about noise.

There's an app/extension that you can get for free. Giving you 120 mins per week and there's a pro version that's fairly cheap as well for unlimited. Works with mobile too.

It's called Krisp AI.

It's a noise cancelling app for microphones. Works with pretty much everything.

It does an excellent job as well.

Highly recommend.

I just realized I already posted about the same thing here a week or so ago. I’m losing my mind guys...

I was checking if there was something new in the scheme, but since I know nothing about making music, I just assumed you made some improvements.

I'll have to check those sound cloud links though.

Lost in music!!!
Indeed! The GF hates it. Not that she hates my music, just that I get lost and spend more time doing “me stuff” rather than spending it with her and/or “paying attention to things that need to get done around the house” as I’ve been lectured.
