WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I am considering complaining to the organisation she belongs to but I get the feeling this is their training method (even though it's been discredited since 1950, it's called audio-linguistic). I think this is a very strict form of it too.

However, this particular instructor is simply not a nice person. I'm not sure if she volunteers or not but regardless it hasn't been a good time.

We have a neighbour who's happy to help us and we'll look into other options.

There's a whole bunch of other things happening right now so I'm putting this in the 'moving on with life" category. Not worth my time.
Agreed. Still, I suppose I'm a "parting shots" kinda guy and would likely light her ads up on the way out of she rubbed me the wrong way one last time.

On to the next.

Incidentally, I saw those app I'm willing to try with my own language quest to see what happens. Looks like they're offering a lifetime license for one user for three languages. The only three I'd be interested in are French, Spanish and Japanese. I may take the plunge and post a review here.

I wish you the best of luck with choosing the right one for you.
The headphones jack issue is such a sticking point for me that it is hard to overlook. Simply put, outside of my phones, I currently have no other way to enjoy my music. While the new wireless headphones have been great, some days I don't care to use them, but I have to as the usb-c options I have are decent, but not good.

But, I still have time.

Yeah that makes sense to me that it is a pain and why it is. It's not like you're asking for a removable battery.

Oh, I'd love a removable battery too. Back in the days, I used to always rock a spare...don't get me started on that. Lol.

That's not my driveway. It's a agricultural road. It leads to my neighbor's property and to a road after that.
What a disappointing development. Lol.

I'm curious to see how you feel the property will look in another 5 years once it's fixed up more to your standards. I'd love to do something like this but I'm finances and being in the right country away from getting there.

He's just got to trim the hedges a bit (), which I'm sure will be taken care of before installing the orchard.
Hedges? That's just grass in the front and on the mounds... To the left is trees in the distance to the right is bramble, which will be taken care of eventually but it's not easy...

The two trees are mine which one is pear and the other is crab apple.

I'm standing on my driveway taking the picture.

Rural areas are a bit different.

Also you can buy French property fairly cheap. Just depends where.

I've seen you've become a true local and locked up the French sense of humor.

Still, even I could tell you're gonna have a bit of a fight to clear that spot before you even install any trees.

I hope in five years time things will be different. We just passed our first year here yesterday. Long way to go...

I have some, hard to modify variables, that may make owning French property off my list. Still, with the lunacy of we-all-know-who in 1600 Penn Ave, I keep coming back to the idea of where the he'll am I going to live when I get either tired of or priced out of NYC.

It's hard to tell from the picture but there's 8 rows of mounds for growing trees already there. The first row has straw on it. The rest still need it. We plan to put straw then agriculture plastic on top. This will help the soil become better.

The French have a great sense of humour, they're just really blunt people.

Well, you're clearly in it for the long haul. I'm hopeful by then it'll look a lot closer to what you want.
