WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

My first post here in this thread was summer 2013. Heh.
My first post in WC was probably the picture/video taken on a L920... 2013 mid-ish!!
My jumping pose picture of me been on my profile like forever!!

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I wonder who has been around since the days of WMExperts. I was frequenting CrackBerry back then, since I was a BlackBerry enthusiast.

Side note: before using any of the Mobile Nations sites, I was a Nokia Symbian user.

I was following All About Symbian before coming in here.

My fave old Symbian phone was Nokia C7-00. An amazing phone for back in early 2011, real frosty metallic body!! My wife was using a Ssg Galaxy1 then, which beats it for large screen and apps (yeah old story that!!!)
But the ace features include offline maps and FM-transmitter. I recall doing two weeks vacation in NZealand, we had a iPad for navigation but it was the C7 offline maps that saved us money on expensive data plan!!
It had USB-OTG too. Very few phones had that back in 2011. Took a lot of photos with a Nikon DSLR, it was easy to sending out pictures by hooking up a multi-card reader thru a OTG cable.

And I had Nokia C6-01. Great phone, best build quality I ever saw. I still have. I had that thing for 2 years, even more. Then I gave it to mom that also had it 2 more years. I remember Nokia Anna and Belle updates, Belle made it feel like it was new phone.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Lots of reminiscing going on here.

My favourite Symbian phone was the N8. I also had a E63 in red before that.

Prior to that I had function phone's.

I came to Windows Central, when it was called Windows Phone Central because I was trying to make sense of the new L920 I just bought. It was a bit of a lemon unfortunately and the WP OS irritated me to no end after being on Symbian and it's openness.

So my goal was to learn and make the most of it.

The L920 was my first and last WP though. I saw the writing on the wall and was tired of the lack of apps, the waiting, the promises. Sigh.

I believe I joined here around mid 2013 as well.

6 years... Geez.

I knew nothing about OG Windows Mobile when it was around. Nokia was the reason I chose Windows Phone after leaving BlackBerry, since I loved Nokia hardware so much. Even my e71 had a better camera than my BlackBerry 9700, so I wanted the Lumia 900 for the camera.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

So I gave up my Saturday for a mental health first aid training that's free through NYC government. Sometimes with my line of work, you've got to give up weekends and evenings for trainings. Right now, the trainings I am going to don't officially count for my license renewal this cycle, but as soon as I renew it, those trainings going forward will

I'm sure they will cover some stuff I know, but a training is a training.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

My former Symbian phones: E63 (red, loved it), E71(silver/white - stolen from my ex who was absentminded with her phones when I loaned it to her for her school trip for Mexico 9 years ago or else I'd still have it), E72 (briefly), N82 (briefly - really liked it) and a N79 (underrated).

There's a white N86 8MP I keep in my cart for ebay that I may get within the next few months. Really wanted one of those and may use it for when I travel (especially when I go home as NOBODY is stealing that), assuming I can still find my SIM adapters.

Can't let it slide without mentioning the N5300 Music Xpress.. it's red with variable geometry design (it slides!!)

unfortunately things with moving parts don't last. It's one of the reason I am sceptical about the current folding phones and to a lesser extent, the pop up selfie cam phones.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

So far, so good with this training. Some of the stuff I know, but it's always good to hear from other people's experiences.

There's a medical student though...always, we cater to the doctor in the room. Sigh. Give him credit for doing this on his own, especially with the time commitments.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Sesame seeds in pizza. Never had it before, but I like it.

Ever been to different pizza places and want to combine ideas? There's a spot by work where the sauce work on the pizza is so good, as it has a hint of sweetness in it. I wish they added sesame seeds in their slices. I think it would change the overall taste a bit too much, but man...I'd try it for sure.

Had a few myself. The E73 Mode was strangely my favorite. Also had the N8, E7, X7-00 and the bad *** 808.
