Agreed. Some of the tech I see get shipped in plastic I often wonder if that couldn't be done using recycled cardboard instead.

Wish we would stop selling bottled water. Period. People take the easy way out with cheap disposable containers.
What boggles is the country haven't shown the ability to manage domestic generated pollutants well at all, but record shows local companies has importing garbage from 19 countries since 2018... even radioactive waste... just boggles.

That in and of itself is utterly mind-boggling. It underlies the idea of how complex the recycling challenges are. Just another are where we kick the problems down the road.
That's because it was an economic issue. It was someone cheaper to ship and dump it in another country vs spending the money to better process it in the country of origin.

The second is saddens - if Sandy Hook didn't move the issue forward, I doubt these last two will. I hope to be wrong, and won't be surprised if I'm correct in my observation.
I'm watching the overage with two feelings sitting my stomach. Sorrow for the families of the victims (and for the preps as well who will be victims in their own right of the "why didn't you prevent this" but of judgment).

I think I'm going to end up getting an air fryer after all. I think there's always this fine balance in cooking of melding skill with equipment reliance. Guess that's with all sorts of other things these days.
