Packing is 99.99% done. The transporter will arrive tomorrow. Sad to leave the house, but we gotta move onwards.
My wife has been meticulous with the packing and boxing. Some of the stuff have been in storage for years. She does freaks out a bit thinking about stowaway spiders & daddy-long legs hitching a ride from one house to other!!

I'm still trying to find a place to live so I can appreciate this.

Latest update for me.

No word yet on the possible new position. So currently going with the assumption we're staying here.

Saw an apartment yesterday that was brand new but the construction was still going on in other parts and it ended up being more expensive than we thought it was going to be. So it's a no go.

We have contacted a place that has temporary accommodation. Not something we want to do but it's likely something we'll have to do for a few weeks at least. Just depends really.

So, I have an interview... Sometime next week. I'm waiting for confirmation.

No idea how this is going to play out.

To say I'm qualified for this position is an understatement.

Then I have the issue of my current role.

Packing done, all and loaded on the container. It takes the truck about 10-12 hours thru some mountainous western area to reach Kota Kinabalu. I'm driving a different route, on the eastern side of the state - breaking journey for a night at Sandakan. Hopefully, we arrive at the house on Sunday afternoon for another round of unloading/unpacking...
One thing we learn from this is never acquire too much stuff.. especially big heavy stuff. We have a marble top table that weighs a ton!!

My own relatively recent moving experience reminded me the importance of minimizing stuff accumulation. It's not easy, but a necessity.

Always loved the Miata. There are a handful of cars that have moved my gears and that is one of them. It ain't a daily car, but I'd use it every day and kill it on weekends.

Hopefully if this thread is still around, I'll take a picture when I buy one.
