WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Maybe if it were up to me at Google, I'd just pick a set of hardware combination of components:

6.2" 1080P screen, 3200mah battery, headphone jack, 128GB ROM, 6GB RAM, single camera, SD 7xx 5G enabled chip with that "stereo speakers".

Offer that for around $450. Then every other year you have a premium edition where you do a flagship model with some funky USP added on top as some people don't mind beta testing.

Outside of tech news, this is the weirdest weekend I've had in a long time. Normally, I'd be running around to do as much as I can to get ready for another work week. Since we are asked to work at home for the next two weeks, I'm trying to wrap my mind about how much of my routine I need to modify for tomorrow.

It's just different. There are lots of mixed feelings there, mostly processing a lot of the uncertainty that's going around.

I feel bad for everyone who has to work from home for the next 2 weeks or so. I suspect Netflix and other streaming services will see a marked uptick in traffic but having said that, I also suspect some serious congestion along the information superhighway. If the latter part of last week was any indication, I will be saving some money by not having to use the express lanes on I-95 for the foreseeable future.

I agree. I think for me, it's such an upheaval in my work flow. Especially since there are certain physical documents I keep confidentially in the office I won't have access to. We were asked not to take any of those documents home. It's going to be an interesting day tomorrow.

This sounds like it will be a challenge to work with. I'm also guessing that you're not allowed to take photos of said things either.

The shelter is promoting dog adoptions to anyone who will be working at home. I have a cousin who works at home, and I know having a dog helps avoid isolation in that instance.

Same here. It's different for academic libraries of course, which is why I still have to work, along with my colleagues.

It all is just very odd right now. That's the best way I can describe it. I'll likely get up, have breakfast and work in the kitchen. Will take a few work breaks as I go along as well.

It'll be more of an on-call thing for me as I track my current patients.

On a funny note, met a dude via a friend in our community for the first time and at a point in the conversation, he asked me if I was dating anyone. I was like what...why are you asking me that? (In my head of course...) Who just asks that in the first meeting if you aren't in a dating environment? My mind wasn't even there.

Edit: I'm aware this happens but at a church is kind of funny to me.

I mean, he may just be asking to see what trouble he is getting I to or trying to avoid. I've seen, and been in situations where that has come up right away, so it may not be as unusual as you think. Sometimes people don't want to step on someone else's toes or it can be a great way to get a feel as to how someone views dating and the things that come with it.

From another lens though, the dirt that gets done at church by some can be about as clean as what happens in secular life.

Sometimes people don't want to step on someone else's toes or it can be a great way to get a feel as to how someone views dating and the things that come with it.

Funny you say that, he mentioned something about the importance of dating someone for a while so you can see their true character before marriage, like if they are abusive or not. I don't remember how we got there, I sure wasn't volunteering anything I said to get there.
