WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I gave up a long time ago of having one device to fit all my needs. Even though the V50 looks to be a good fit as a daily driver, I'm not going to sit here and claim it covers everything well.

These things are still sadly designed for OEMs to make money from us getting new ones.

That makes sense. It feels like it is hard to go from something doing most of what you want/need to do well to something that is capable but falls short of something that is needed.

I've been thinking about buying a cover for mine. We're currently using my laptop for French classes. We don't turn it on but it's always a better feeling knowing you can't be seen.

I've seen that video of the lady who forgot... Though how one does that is odd to me.
Fortunately, mine is a physical switch and that's one of the first things I turned on while setting everything up. It's also why I was looking at the Envy 13 as it too has a similar physical kill switch.

That's why the trick of staying in tune with what you want to do with your device is important.

Yep, you're right. The gag with this whole thing is that I can't even test concert lighting. I'll have to try makeshift situations in my home. That's the only thing though, everything else will likely be fine for sure.

Are you keeping both the SE2 and the S10E?

The new Moto Edge+ looks good. Too expensive and may not sell as well, but a very impressive swing. I think the Edge will equip itself well, especially if it comes in around $550.

If the LG Velvet is sold too at that price, I think they may be more attractive than a Oneplus 7T/8.

Problem with Moto Edge+ is that it is a VZW exclusive. Ugh.

Let's see how LG prices Velvet. Since V60 is $900, I'm hoping they price it closer to $650 and then can give OP a serious run for it's money.

I missed this Velvet phone. I'm going to need to do some research.

Edit: I have read an article and it sounds very cool!

You got it. Thank you, I'll find out soon.
Hope you do.

I understand that these things are tools and really some of the worst form of depreciating assets. So I get why most people will want to keep it to one and use it until it fully breaks.

I'm just glad I can enjoy having a few around without that sort of pressure.

It sounds like you have a system and also just general plans at that too.

Since switching carriers, I can do it but I have to question if it's worth it because of what I have to deal with, especially for phones that aren't iPhones. It's back to my early 2017 roots of finding the best driver for me. I'm still shocked that this SE2 actually turned out to be real after 2+ years.

Not sure I follow you. The V60 with case is $900, without is $800. That has it split the middle between the 8 and 8 Pro. So if the Velvet is priced at $550-$600 how does that make it less competitive to Oneplus?

I'm not surprised. Apple likely was waiting for the right time. They needed to clear iphone 7 and 8 stock before launching the SE2.

I have a presentation of the first part of my project today, and guess what, not only do I have no internet, I don't have any power.

I had to buy 3G (yes, 3G) and hope that 20% of battery on my laptop will do.
