I'll have to come back and study this thread... Some good examples of what to do and what not to do, IMHO,
So HDR is new to me and thanks to Sam Sabri for the chance to stretch. Being that it is a new skill I'm trying to pick up, I took a lot of shots: interiors, landscapes, walls of candy in a store, at a museum I took pics of paintings and various objet d'art, also on the grounds of the museum in the sculpture garden and the architecture there... I'm bummed that when I went to the Nelson-Atkins they were not displaying Benton's The Hail Storm as I really wanted a whack at that one. I pulled off the road and snapped some shots of a beautiful brick church with a nice steeple tower. I waded out in a field and took pics of the cattle pond reflecting the sky and the golden rod in bloom...
In the end, none pleased me so much as a simple still life I arranged. I like the way the composition came together and the subtle enhancements from the HDR. So here is:
Field Notes
Taken with a Nokia Lumia 1520.3. I used ProShot in full HDR mode. 3 shots merged, +/- 2.3EV, auto everything else. It was low light with full sun, but windows at a distance and a shade canopy on that side of the house. I then ran it through Nokia Creative Studio for a reframe to 4:3 aspect and some small tweaks on the sliders, especially lightening the shadows and increasing clarity a smidge.
