This is Brutus, my biggest common goldfish. He (I'm assuming it's a he) was <1" when I got him 4 years ago. Now he's about 5". He really ought to be in a bigger aquarium...



I like goldfish, they seem more intelligent and are longer-lived than many other fish. Brutus here knows who feeds him and hides from strangers. He's also more curious than his aloof tankmate (whose tail is in the picture), always swimming up to my finger when I trace the front glass.
