one dude is oft-quoted as saying they'd be new hardware this year, with Win10. Whether they come through with that, and whether it's what you'd call a flagship, who knows. One thing though, the longer they leave any announcement the less likely it will hit shelves this year.

If they had something any where near ready to announce, I think they would be so full of themselves over it that they wouldn't be able to keep it a secret. There isn't any reason that I can think of not to mention it if they were truly working on and committed to a quality flagship type advice. I think if they ever release anything like that it will not be this year.

They stated during the World mobile congress thing that there would be a flagship device this year, and this article pointing out that adduplex has spotted at least one of them at the moment.
