A Lumia 950 in the shell of the 930.

A redesigned OS core so that the phone function is isolated from the OS. OR separate processor or something, so it cannot crash or suffer when other things in the OS crash.

Optical Zoom like the Oppo demo at MWC 2017.

Replaceable covers with different colours.

Miracast!

A phone running a version of Windows Mobile Microsoft is very committed to in such a way that they release updates, advertise and market to consumers and developers so that apps are added to the store regularly.

Every feature that Windows 10 mobile offers from raw capture using updated hardware similar to that of the Lumia 1020 to the iris camera for windows hello and everything in between such as continuum. The latest available arm chip such as the 835, wrapped in a 5-6inch oled bezel-less screen and chassis that is reminiscent of the Zune HD body including OTA HD radio. This would be the pro/plus version. The non Pro/Plus version would be the same internals but wrapped in a Nokia 800 body or Alcatel's idol 4s including it's speakers. Also, I'm a heavy smartphone user so battery life needs to be on par with something like the 1520's running Windows Phone 8.1. Windows 10 mobile's insider preview battery life performance has been awful even on the 1520 so either the battery needs to be big or windows 10 mobile's power requirements needs revamping.

I just want a Windows phone by Nokia. They made the most classy Windows phone ever. After Microsoft took over they ditched the original Lumia design and so now I have no lumias.they were my dream phones and now I don't have a single of them.So I request misrosoft to come back to get a taste for classy designs rather a very dull Lumia 950 design.

What does your DREAM Windows Phone look like? Size, battery life, specs, etc... if you could grab any manufacturer and tell them 'make this', what would you tell them to do?? :)

Unpopular opinion, but I have never been a fan of how the Nokia devices look.
I want a surface phone that you can clearly see is part of the surface line

  • 5,8'' screen with bezelless design, 2560x1440, Super AMOLED.
  • clear surface design. Minimalist and clean look with the clean microsoft logo on the back.
  • 4 colors to choose from, burgundy, cobalt blue, graphite gold and normal grey.
  • USB type-C, fast charging, wireless charging.
  • I don't mind having no headphone jack and having better speakers, just include the wireless headphones if you want to push wireless.
  • A camera that makes people envious and seriously consider buying the phone when they see the pictures you have taken with it.
  • Windows Hello and Fingerprint scanner under the screen.
  • Waterproof
  • Cshell Windows 10S OS

I could go into endless details about what I want with the software but this would be my dream hardware device.

Id be happy with this, if you add some Windows innovative features plus perhaps a foldable design, with the awesome camera it has, i'd pay good money for it, but not with android.

Design wise I'd like to see an almost bezel less Surface Book ( the Tablet part ) scaled down to Elite X3 dimensions keeping the somewhat hard edges. As I don't drop my hardware I don't exactly feel this being a liability in design.

I'd also like to see it sporting a Fingerprint sensor at the same location the Elite X3 has - Much more convenient than the Iris Scanner.

Standard Headphone Jack ( no one needs a Phone thin enough not capable to fit a Headphone Jack )
A dedicated Camera Button to start an assigned App and take Photos with it.
Slightly recessed or at least flush with the frame buttons preventing accidental triggering of them ( I had to 3D Print my own belt hard case in order to prevent the volume buttons from being activated during cycling )
USB-C and Wireless Charging - Though the latter is going to be an issue with a metal frame - If I had to choose I'd probably sacrifice the Wireless Charging for a whole lot more premium feel of the phone.
Maybe a built in stand? Mhh... Probably not the wisest idea ;D
Large, think Elite X3, Battery capacity.
A dedicated but optional Dock.

One that's released, supported with updates, and has a physical keyboard.

An updated Dell Venue Pro... *sigh*

Ideally it'd sport a BlackBerry keyboard.

My dream Windows Phone would look very similar to many of those mentioned here, with one change/addition that I don't think I've seen requested: I don't just want USC-C. I want Thunderbolt.

Thunderbolt would let me connect to an external monitor and give the potential for desktop-class graphics with my phone. It will support external storage and ethernet. In short, it would make the potential of Continuum a reality. I could (theoretically, as it would require developer support) run real Photoshop or games like Skyrim.

It would have HBOGO and Comcast streaming capability, you know, like Windows Phones used to have. More than 5 useful applications in the Windows Store would be a nice addition as well.

I love the idea of a projector built into the side of it that displays a screen on the table in front of you. Even better would be to track your finger so you could touch the table like a touch screen.

Either that or a phone that fold out into a tablet, but I think it would be hard to do that right.

I have no huge demands regarding the hardware of a dream Windows phone other than it has at least 2 GB RAM. But it would either sideload Google Play Store apps or Windows developers will have closed the app gap with Google Play Store apps. This is required to bring me back to a Windows phone.
