What's your single favorite game you've played? And Why?

I'm not sure about getting the Remastered Version. I will have to see. They've also released the original version for free, but when I logged on to Battlenet for a multiplayer game, I did not find anyone to play against with. If there are people playing online in the Remastered version, then I'll definitely consider buying it.

Commanche: Maximum Overkill. Helicopter simulation come arcade game. Nice simple controls for an oldie like me to master and great fun blasting away with the cannon. Sadly does not work in Windows 10.

Privateer!!!!

At this point, Elite Dangerous Horizons easily wins for me. I loved the Wing Commander series, Privateer and especially Freespace. But EDH stands on their shoulders and brings pretty much everything I've always wanted in FPS space sim games. I can play it almost exactly the way I want to play it because there's very little scripting. With 2.4 coming out on the 26th and adding the Thargoid invasion, I expect to see more scripting, but I'm hoping it won't be heavy-handed.

I will have to say skifree was one of the best. it came out in the early nineties or mid. I even re-download it from time to time just to play and try to do the inevitable and escape yeti without cheating then I will get pissed and delete the game.

Earth & Beyond was my favorite PC game.

It was my first and last dip into the MMO worlds.
Nothing like being a Jenquai taking many newbs through tours of systems they had no business being in. It was so much fun.

Tough question... I can't choose between Heroes of Might and Magic, StarCraft or Diablo. I'm not even mentioning the games I posted on a 286 PC like Dune by Virgin, or Wolfenstein or Red Alert.
There have been so many... But I think on top of my list are those three I mentioned.
And yes, I do still have those games.
