What the hell is wrong with WhatsApp for wp.
from last few days i am having so many problems.
these are the problem.
1:- i get WhatsApp message only when i open WhatsApp.
2:- when i try muting a group it crashes.
3ush notification problems.

and from yesterday i am getting this issue.
"could not connect to whatsapp. please check your network settings and try again later"...

and i tried this following methods
- uninstalling and re installing.
- rebooted my device....twice.
- checked my system clock.
- checked my network settings.
- contacted whatsapp(basically told me to read the frigging FAQs)...
- yes, my phone is up to date with updates...
- tried with wifi.
can anyone help me??
i am getting irritated cause of WhatsApp.
and i have Lumia 520.
my bro also have 520 and he is not having any issues

For those who having trouble muting the group, its likely that your group have many media thus make whatsapp crashed.
Try to clear the group chat history before muting.
I had clear mine several times due to crashed while clearing and finally had my group muted

I just installed whatsapp and saw that there were contacts added automatically to my favorites by whatsapp. Will they be able to see me even if they dont have my phone number in their contacts list?

Although after a quick update, whatsapp is still lacking a very major function which is sending a video which is already present in your camera roll and there's no other way to do that!!

Sorry if this has been already answered. I just joined this forum (will sift through the threads).

I have an urgent and frustrating issue with verifying Whatsapp.

Whatsapp was working well on my old Lumia 928 HW. That HW had issues with proximity sensor , so I got a new one.

On the new 928 HW , after I install Whatsapp , I fail at verification step with following error : "Error sending code (no_routes)"

I tried the following things but it is still not working

-->Deleted my Whatsapp Account from my old phone and also uninstalled it.

-->I also factory reset my old phone to erase any data.

-->Sent Whatsapp support an email , but I havent heard back from them

I am using the same SIM. This shouldnt be this much of a heartache!

Relax, keep calm..such errors are fixed automatically. Just wait for few hours.. For time being use other messenger..

Thanks! Its being going on for more than 2 days now....I think Whatsapp servers have still not deleted my account completely due to which they are not verifying me on this new phone...weird...

Is there any App thru which we can send whatsapp msgs?

Nope, I too faced this.. But it was resolved with few hours..
Try this,
Take backup of contacts
Delete all contacts
Install WhatsApp
Than register

Tell me if that works, than I will tell about restoring contacts

cause of all this i deleted the old version.
now i installed newer version but of no use it is stuck on creating favs section. Irritated alot cause of this.

Is anyone else having issues trying to install the update? I cannot get the thing to install at all. Uninstalled and now cannot get anything on my phone at all.
I guess its the latest one (shows 11/14/2013 on the store).

The solution for problem1&2 is turn off the automatic update of time in the phone settings.that should fix the notification issues ! Also check if the background service is enabled for whatsapp in your phone.

I have installed whatsapp on my lumia 720 and since then I receive messages only when I launch the application. I am unable to figure out if its an application problem or a phone problem. Any suggestions/comments on this?


I need solution for this... getting frustrated..

no notification sound.... always need to open the whatsapp APP.. it was working fine for few months and now it stopped..

i guess there may be issue with windows update or anything ?

please let us know the answer asap

I have a Lumia 720. The problem with whatsaap is that I am not able to transfer my saved videos through it. The video sharing option always leads to a fresh video recording.

did you check windowsphone.com in the section find my phone? because when this service loses connection with your phone, you lose all notifications
