whatsapp vs action center custom sound

In the action center, I can change the Notification sound for many apps including whatsapp. Now that Whatsapp is back in the store with the new update, i can go to the app's settings and change the notification tones (message notifications and group notifications). What's the difference between the 2 (whatsapp sound and the action center sound of whatsapp)? If I receive a msg from a contact I still hear the sound set from the action center and not from the app itself. Any help?

Change the sound in Action Center to what you want it to be for WhatsApp.
