I never said that Nokia 1020 was anything else than the greates camera phone produced... yet.
So what I'm saying is:
1) Nokia 1020 is the best camera phone so far, it is getting close to a year old and in electronics that is ancient.
2) Apple has gone from having crap cameras to decent to very good. While most comparison (I think all I have read done by photographers) ranks the 1020 highest at lest a couple (all of the two I have seen have been judged by amateurs) have given the price to the latest iPhone. This does not indicated that the 1020 has lost its throne but it indicates that the iPhone now is an competitor and not that far behind.
3) One of Nokia's lead designers on the pure view cameras has left Nokia and moved to Apple. A clear indication on that Apple continue have improvement of there camera as an priority.

All this summons up to that if not Microsoft/Nokia get the 1030 out before early Q4 there is a quite substantial risk/chance (depends on your view, my is risk being an WP fan) that Nokia Lumia 1020 will lose its throne and the winner may very well be the coming iPhone and Apple is not alone trying to improve its camera.
