Which hand is this phone designed to be held in?

Hey guys,

I've been debating with myself about whether the lumia 950 XL is best held in the right hand or the left hand. As a phablet I feel this phone is designed to be used with two hands I.e one holding and one touching the screen with the index finger. Although sometimes there are situations where using on hand is my only option.

Argument for holding with the left hand:

1. Able to use my right index finger for touch (right handed so this is most efficient)
2. Left fingers can access volume, lock and camera buttons
3. Can comfortably reach back arrow with my left thumb if holding the phone lower

Argument for holding with right hand:

1. Feel more comfortable stretching right thumb when using phone one handed
2. Can reach everything with my right thumb including volume, lock and camera buttons

So I'd feel that for one hand use holding in right hand is king and if using two handed then I would be inclined to holding in my left hand. How do you guys hold the phone and do you feel the buttons/screen is designed for a specific hand in mind? I find it strange that the ergonomic design of the phone forces me to switch hand depending on the use, do you agree?

This is exactly how it is designed from the software to the hardware. One handed mode is right-hand and two-handed mode is left hand.
