which phone do you suggest?

I have had 928 for almost 3 years now and its glitched out one to many times. I need a new phone. I see these fancy new 950's but I don't think I actually need one. I use my phone to check emails, one note, surf the web, look at excel docs, watch some streaming videos, and listen to music. I don't play any games on my phone. I would like to stay in the Lumia family of phones and have windows 10 on the phone eventually.I have started using Cortana more across my devices. High quality camera isn't that important to me. Would be an early adopter of a windows wallet system that allowed me to use my phone to pay for things at stores.

Suggestions? Arguments for the 950?

Given your stated criteria I would have to ask what carrier you are on? As the 928 is a branded Verizon phone, if you are on Vzw that is going to limit things.

Then the 735 is your best bet right now.

If the 928 is being used on ATT or an ATT mvno, I would say a Lumia 640 or 640 XL. T-Mo or T-Mo mvno will complicate things just a bit... And if you say Sprint, well...

I'm on Verizon but my contract has been up for a year. I have no problem going over to At&t seeing the almost open animosity that Verizon has for windows phones.

However, if you move to an ATT plan or an ATT mvno, that opens things a lot more widely. Based on your criteria though it sounds like you want a solid middle of the road device. IMHO, you won't beat an AT&T Lumia 640 for value: Buy AT&T - Microsoft Lumia 640 (Black) - No Contract - Microsoft Store

Maybe pair the 640 with an ATT mvno and you would not even have to unlock the phone.
