Which will VZ do first? 8.1 on 822 or 830?

Right not I am patiently waiting for 8.1 on my 822, (I really don't want to do the dev preview.)

Anyway, the current rumor is that Verizon will be picking up the Lumia 830 or some variation of it, (It better have glance! ). If this is the case I may use my upgrade on one of my lines to get it, and then offer my 822 as a hand me down.

OTOH, my 822 is still going strong, even after being dropped one story, so if 8.1 comes sooner than the 830, than that may tide me over until the 822 completely fails me.

What do you think?

At the rate they are going it will probably be the 830 first. I'm hoping 8.1 comes out within the next week or two. I didn't want to install the dev preview either and I'm glad I didn't since its recommended to uninstall it for when the official release comes out.

I seriously doubt that the 830 will show up on VZW. Probably an 832 would be a safer bet and yes that will have 8.1 before they get to 822.

@VZWSupport on Twitter said they still have no information when I asked a couple days ago...

I can't help but think it'll be soon...this week or next.

In the specs sheet it has been confirmed that the 830 will have Glance. If it comes out before Verizon releases 8.1 for the 822, I'll get it but it will be on AT&T!

And as soon as I posted that last comment, out comes the announcement that the 735 is coming to Verizon! Does that mean no 830 or variant of it? So confused!��

Since 735 is announced for VZ and 830 is announced for ATT, I highly doubt we will see 830 (or even a variant) on VZ. They (VZ) probably don't want to have too many active WP SKUs to sell and support.

And now I am sorta pissed because the 735 doesn't have Glance. :/

No kidding! That's what kept me from getting the Icon! No Glance! Don't get me wrong, the 735 looks like a fine device. In a way though it feels like a step down from my 822. Though it might be a faster way to get both WP8.1 and Denim.
