First: HTC Radar wp 7.1. This was also my very first smartphone. I think this was a wonderful mid tier device, but no ongoing support
Second: HTC 8X. Was the only WP that the local carriers sold. This was a nice phone. Used it for 2 years.
Third and Current: Nokia Lumia 830. Again the only wp the carriers sold in my locality. Would have preferred the 930. Compared to my 8x it had some nicer features, nicer camera, but the 830 feels less premium in the hand. I think if they had sold the HTC One wp here I might have been tempted. Will be upgrading this fall. hard to know what to buy. Have not decided if I will stick it out with wp. Just bought my wife a L950, unlocked, off contract. I quite like it. I am secretly hoping MS will announce a Surface Phone for fall, or that maybe the HP X3 will be widely available. If these phones never materialize I maybe tempted to buy an Android phone. I recently purchased iPhone 6s' for my parents. They are nice phones, but the lack of customization, the insipid UI, and insane price (criminal imo), I just cannot see myself carrying one. My wife and I love wp. She is not a techie and is not a big app person, she just loves the tiles and customization. I like the W10 family safety features. A very much hidden capability that is really helpful. Just wish there were more and better apps. I am kind of sick of buggy, feature missing apps like Facebook that seldom get updated. This is the only valid reason to switch to Android or IOS, IMO.
