White vs. Black: Same Materials?

I placed an order for the black 930 today and was wondering - is the back panel the same material/finish on the black and white variants?

The black looks more beveled and raised while the white seems to be flat.

Hi, maybe it's best I ask here instead of creating a new thread.

This is concerning the aluminum finish for the black model,
Is the black aluminum just coated black? After some wear and tear, will scratches reveal the silver underneath?

I'm trying to decide which color to get and I'm usually quite rough with my phones.

I guess you'll have to wait, I don't think anyone has worn off the black to show whatever is underneath if... Perhaps it's anodized black aluminum and it will only get a worn look and not wear off. Stay tuned

OP: I chose black because I reasoned, rightly or wrongly, that a black back would radiate heat away from the processor more effectively.
