Why are old emails being re-sent as-new to my nokia lumia 520?

I am currently receiving emails from November last year again as if they are only just now being received. From last night to this morning, I received about 30 emails. I don't believe I changed any settings recently.

Is it happening to your email account or is it just your phone?
