Why can't I edit the "Release Year" section in Windows Media Player?

Hi,

So when i decided to plug in a music player onto my laptop I wanted to add some information on it, but I can't seem to edit the Release Year. If the music is in the Music file, you can right click the Release Year and press Edit, but when it's in the Other Media section you can't. Is there a problem like this and how can I troubleshoot this?

Just edit the file in File Explorer.
​Or use an application like like MP3Tag.
