Why does my lumia 540 lose the wifi?

Okay, so I have a lumia 540 updated to the latest OS (there was an update last night in South East Asia) after my display cracked I gave it for repair but now it just suddenly drops my wifi connection and when I go to settings the wifi connection doesn't even appear. I know this isn't because of the internals because it shows my neighbours wifi connection in the nearby wifi connections list. It sometimes connects randomly and after I bring it to my room, it works for a bit and loses the connection (and I can't reconnect to it because it doesn't show my wifi connection in the list) i tried restarting my phone to no positive outcome. Is it possible that this is happening because I also have an iPad in the room connected to the same network? (I doubt it because it worked perfectly fine when I had WP8.1) how do I fix this?
Edit: it's not developer unlocked and I'm not running windows insider.

connects to wifi but says no internet access im running wm10 on a lumia 540, don't have a sim. also, i don't have Groove music installed, idk but i have Xbox Music instead... idk how that relates but it might, anyway, how do i fix this?

I suffer from this, a lot! I have dual band wifi, and I can log in to 2.5ghz and get no internet, but log into 5ghz, and it works! Go figure.

The way I have gotten around this is reset the router. You should have a reset button on you router so poke that, let it boot, and see what happens. Failing that, delete the network off of your phone and re-select it. That has worked in the past as well.

I have read your similar post in L540 forum which gives clearer picture of your problem. I also experience the same network problem after update. Even on my W10 PC. After several on/off toggles + forget/reconnect attempts + resets, somehow the network name shows up again. I think it is a bug, but am not very sure.

You don't have grove music but you have Xbox music. It clearly shows that the WM10 installation was not done properly. Hard reset the phone. Hope you will see a difference.

I have this same problem on my beloved Lumia 830. I've eagerly waiting the past 3 Patch Tuesday's hoping for a fix... nothing this morning.

Only work around I've found is a full reboot. This issue is probably the only bug I want killed before I can/could recommend W10M.
