Why doesn't my Cortana song recognition recognize any songs?

Cortana song recognition doesn't recognise any songs.

Hello,

My song recognition on my lumia 930, running lumia denim, doesn't work. It always returns a message saying it cannot recognise the song, regardless of which song I try. I have tried Shazam and Soundhound, and get similar errors.
It isn't my microphone because if i take a video, the sound records perfectly.

It used to work, but i have since messed around with region and language settings to get cortana to work. Is it possible that i incorrectly changed something there that causes this problem?

Any help/suggestions/comments are most welcome.

Mine works great. Picks up the song even with substantial background noise.

I have the same issue. Is there a solution for this? Even when I updated to the latest version of Windows 10, the problem is still not fixed.

I had same issue. But my problem was a hardware one. My board was changed. Another symptom is that the second mic is not working. When you make a call and switch to loudspeaker the other side doesn't hears you. If your mic isn't working and still in warranty return it to be fixed.
It seems this is common problem of L930
