Why is my OneDrive icon flickering all the time?

A week or so ago, my OneDrive icon in the taskbar started flickering constantly, even when files are up to date. It just flashes non-stop. I have tried pausing/restarting syncing, restarting the computer, and removing the icon from the taskbar. Obviously, the last one makes it unnoticeable, but it still flickers when I go to the taskbar settings and then when I add it back. Is there any way I can stop this? It's super annoying, and I really rely on being able to check the upload percentage.

Any ideas? I've tried searching for "OneDrive constantly syncing," which appears to be a common issue, but I can't seem to access the Microsoft answers site (all the pages come back saying I'm unauthorized, for some reason). This is really running my battery down.
