Why isn't my Lumia 720 turning on when I press the power button?

why lumia 720 not turned on when pressing the power button?

for the last 2 days my lumia 720 (windows8.1) not turned on when i press the power/lock button. after pressing 2 to 3 times it goes into the mode of swipe down to power off.
plz help.

Try this, click and hold on power and volume down buttons for 10 seconds, we can this soft reset, you won't lose anything

It also sounds as if your battery is totally flat. Put it a few hours on the original charger. Or via a usb cable on your computer. To charge it.
