Why isn't my Windows 8.1 Update 1 not going through?

Please Help me : Windows 8.1 Update 1 not going through!!

I'm installling Windows 8.1 Update 1 thru Developers Preview. Gears are keep on rotating, installation not been completed. Bit worried about what will happen to device, how long should i wait?? Please help me what to do??

How long has it been rotating? And often times, the number of apps you have affects the installation period.

How long has this been happening? It might take awhile. Mine took about an hour, and I have 50 Mbps WiFi.

it's been close to 4 hrs now from installation started.. still rotating. Doubting, something went wrong?? Also tell me does WiFi required during installation?? Coz now i'm not in a WiFi Zone.. :sweaty:

One of the updates gets stuck 75% through on my Lumia 630 Dual SIM. Left it overnight and it was still stuck.
Tried resetting but keeps stalling at the same place.
Gutted I didn't do a backup now!!

Switch off the phone and remove the SD card and restart the phone. It will reinstall again. I have seen many others reporting here that it worked

Unfortunately I don't have a SD card in it to remove! Going to try sticking one in and seeing if it makes a difference.

IT ACTUALLY WORKED! Putting a 1GB SD card in allowed it to finish and it's migrating the data now.
