Simply because GDR3 is about to launch in Nokia's Abu Dhabi event this month, while the loyal WP customers are still struggling to get GDR2/Amber update. Simply because Nokia has no feeling of embarrassment when all its estimations and promises are not fulfilled on time.

Nokia and Microsoft don't realize that the best marketers for their WP devices are their existing loyal customers.

You're right. And for that reason you should be singing the praises of your phone for what it has today, not what you might get tomorrow.

Personally I love the camera's optical image stabilization on my phone and how it makes great videos. The better email client. The clear calls, bright screen and visibility outside in bright sunshine. The responsiveness. The live tiles.

Sell those. And then enjoy what's coming in the pipeline.
