It seems from the PlayStation forums he made his choice to get a PS4. However, if I were still going to try provide a reason for him to get the Xbone it is because they will be offering it with Titanfall included (no additional charge) on March 11. Titanfall is seriously that good. I know it sounds silly, but I have only played the beta and have been jonesing since to play it again. I can't wait for March 11 and I am not even a big fan of FPS games.
Also, the ecosystem thing will become more and more integrated as updates get released. There will be apps. Yes, I said it...apps that will be made for all versions of the Windows ecosystem to include the Xbone. Kinect seems like a gimmick, but it a really cool feature for voice and hand gesture controls. Game manufacturers can indeed make games run at 1080P (like Forza, for example). They just have to do so and not cut corners. I expect I will eventually be able to replace my cable box once Comcast permits. That will save me some rental fee for using their box. Simply put, the Xbone is more than just a gaming system. The future is brighter than with the PS4.
