Why wont my camera work?

Okay so one day my Nokia Lumia 925 won't take pictures. It will go to the screen but its black except for the buttons to switch between video and picture. It also won't let me even take a picture. The button is grey and not white. I've tried all reset options both factory and camera. If anyone knows how to fix please let me know!!!!

it sucks but have you tried LRT to wipe it and put a fresh 8.1? If so then maybe your hardware is kaput.
