Wifi Battery drain

Hi all,

I'm having an issue with my 525.
If I turn wifi on it drains battery faster than if I keep it with mobile data.

The only option enabled in wifi settings is keep wifi on when screen times out.
Wifi AP is nearby,It should have full strength signal.
It is running on lumia black, fw version : 3055.400001347.1001

Any suggestions.

How much faster of a drain is it? Significant or a little faster?

Any additional services on the phone will cause the phone to drain faster. Having background tasks going etc. This is simply the reality of all smartphones.

Have you tried a soft reset yet?

I have the same issue. And I have WP 8.1 installed. Just noticed it a few days back when I forgot to keep my phone on Wi-Fi in the night and kept it on cellular data for the night.
