This thread should be locked at this point. There should be no more discussion on IF the 950 or 950XL will or wont work on Verizon.
In a week or so, people should be getting these phones and we can re-open it when someone tests it with a Verizon SIM. Test the 950 and test the 950XL.
Testing process.
1. Test to confirm that you can activate it (if you have an active SIM), can you make a call ? Do you have data ? Can you get a TXT/MMS ?
If you can pass the first stage, then the next tests.
2. How is your coverage ? Get on the phone with someone and drive around while talking (have someone else drive). A good ride, 15 or so miles in your area, highway, and over a friends home (who gets spotty Verizon coverage the best test and KNOWN 3G areas). What is your result ? More dropped calls, or less, or flawless coverage like before ?
If you pass this step with good results, or at least reasonable results...
3. Use the phone for one billing cycle. See if your charged extra for roaming or if there is "hidden" Verizon fees. I might keep an eye on your bill or call Verizon 1/2 way through to see if there is any crazy charges.
Right now, this is a battle back and forth, YES IT WILL WORK, NO IT WONT.... it's getting old, there is only 1 way to know for sure and stop this guessing game.
My bets are on the 950 (one with the bands needed) wont even work with a Verizon SIM but, I would love to be proven wrong.
Stop the guessing and thinking you KNOW it will work, let's find out for sure...
