Windows Phone at 6% in the business world

I work for a unnamed multi-national corporation. Said corp. is requiring all employees to install a particular app if they want to continue to get email on their mobile devices. They just posted some stats, and so far 6% of the installations are from Windows Phone, 24% from Android, and 70% from iOS. This includes tablets and phones, so windows phone penetration is actually probably much higher than 6% since there are no WP tablets.

But wp has only 2.5% worldwide market share.this need to change.android should not touch 90% market share worldwide currently it is at 84.5%.

Actually Windows Phone was 3.7% of the global marketshare back in 2013 August and is still increasing (albeit slowly), so you may want to check your figures..:winktongue:

Actually Windows Phone was 3.7% of the global marketshare back in 2013 August and is still increasing (albeit slowly), so you may want to check your figures..:winktongue:

Actually it shrunk to 2.7 at the last count. Shipments didn't drop far though. Basically because of Nokiasoft shenanigans

The iPhone is the king of the enterprise or corporate smartphone market. It has double the market share of Android phones. Not sure of the current market share but it is high maybe in the 50% range!

The drop to 2.7 was only for the 2nd quarter.

Its hard to re convince people to leave android for WP , but maybe soon this will happen. WP is more stable than android

Yes & no, it depends on what sort of user they are:
a)if they are a power user they would need a very compelling usp to convince them
b) if they are a simple and basic user, it is not too difficult.
c) if they are already invested in the ecosystem, you need to work three times harder.

In short, know your stuff like the back of your hand and having the gift of the gab helps.

In a way I love the fact that its still mostly an assassin phone. Nobody knows about it but put a 1520 on a table next to an iPhone and "KERBOOM" the iPhone guy is like "what the heck is that" lol yep...."what's that on your iPhone? Oh.. My 1520...its called moving tiles...yeah yeah it updates and flips, get over it dude its just a windows phone" awwww feels sooooo good. You go ahead mate..pick up that Fischer price phone. I will stick to my 1520 *cough cough* got a bit carried away there I think *winks*

I think it's because windows is famous for viruses and BSOD so they are scared to buy one. Another reason why windows phone needs a name change.

You DO realize your 6% has nothing to do with what may be going on in any other company? For you to say that market penetration may be higher just based on your company's numbers is not an accurate way to measure this. Sorry.
