Windows Store Games Don't Work on SD Card

I moved a couple of games to an SD card through the storage menu. When I try and launch them, I get a splash screen and then it crashes. Anyone else had the same issue? Is there a fix?

Edit - it's a 128Gb Samsung card
Edit2 - they work fine if I move them to an external USB SSD

Update - I formatted the SD card. It works fine now
