Windows update error, not downloading

I'm on build 9926 and its very very buggy for me. The start screen, the action centre, and none of the modern apps open. But today, I saw the article that an patch had been released for these bugs, and I checked windows update to search, but it keeps returning "error, cannot download updates now" . So, is there any way I can fix this? Also, is the ISO for the patch available? Coz I don't want to download the entire build ISO again

I've been getting the same error since I updated to the latest build as well, and haven't been able to install any updates. My error is the same as yours but the error code is 0x80070057.

Someone suggested me to download the ISO file and install it over the current one. I will try that, hope it works

This would have come up if you did a simple search and would have saved you some time. Cheers
