Won't connect to Bluetooth

I have my hands free in the car and each time I want to connect via Bluetooth I need to turn my Bluetooth off on my phone and then turn it back on and about 80% of the time it connects but this whole process is not practical. My Bluetooth inside the house won't connect at all. It has connected in the past but now won't connect, days it's paired but won't connect. It's not practical to restart my phone each time I walk inside either. I have already done a hard reset for other issues.

Not that I know of.

Comes up as paired but not connected. No Bluetooth icon either

I experience similar problems with my car Bluetooth Handsfree with FM transmitter. In fact it has stopped correcting a long time ago and I've stopped using my L920 with it. I now use a Nokia Asha device with it to which it connects perfectly. I run PFD on the L920 (Cyan /Denim) since day one. Could that have been responsible for the problem?

How would developer affect it? I used to be able to connect but in last three weeks have not been able to, nothing major has changed in terms of settings from before.
