Working on updates 0% - Stuck

i have left my laptop overnight for the windows update and when i woke up in the morning it was working on updates with 0%. At the time of writing this, 2 hours have already passed since i woke up and it's still stuck at 0%. any solutions for this? i have been encountering this problem for quite some time now and unable to update to newer preview build. stuck at build 112XX or something if i'm not mistaken

UPDATE: i tried using the ISO file to update to build 14372 twice now and it failed after telling me to select keyboard layout.

you're trying out the insider builds? Or you're not using insider program?

I'm not using the insider program and had this problem.
not just at 0%, but 53%, 83% 86% - for several hours each time.
in the end I resorted to restarts and after 3 or more attempts, and many hours, all the updates loaded and installed.

hi, thanks for the link but i want to clarify that my problem is not that i can't finish downloading the update but actually applying the update to my device.

is there a way to revert to non-insider windows 10 build while keeping all my personal files intact?
