WPRT Stuck in"Switching to flashing mode". L920

Trying to roll back my L920 from W10TP to WP8.1 so that I can give my mother a phone to use until the newer phones become available. It's on build 10149 IIRC, about the time I switched to my 830 for TP use. Anyway, when using the tool version 2.1.2, it recognizes the device, but can't switch the phone to flashing mode, it just keeps rebooting the phone until it eventually throws an error. Help! :\

I had this problem last week with my old Lumia 822. I ended up using Nokia's Software Updater For Retail to get it back in working order.

The program itself will require a couple updates, but it'll do it on it's own through the installation wizard.
