Did Windows 10 enable LED notification on my Lumia 525?

Hey guys, i'm noticing that on the proximity sensor on my Lumia 525 is blinking like it blinks on a phone which has led notification even phone even when the phone is left untouched.

Sometimes it seems as if the light is on without blink.

Anyway, the red light is very hard to notice.

Is it a bug? Do you see it on your Lumia??

That is not an LED notification. The faint red glow that you're seeing from the proximity sensor is the near-infrared light that the sensor uses to detect if there are nearby objects or obstructions. You should see the light when the sensor is active, for example when you're making a call - putting something close enough such that the near-infrared light will be reflected back sufficiently into the sensor will prompt the phone screen to be turned off during the call.

This is similar to the faint-red glow that can be seen from night vision CCTV cameras and from professional cameras that can focus in almost complete darkness.
