I have tried probably a dozen times to install the new Windows 10 Techinical Preview build 100136 (fast ring) on my Lumia Icon - and I cannot get it to work. I am currently running 8.1 gdr1 w/denim. I used the insider app and selected "fast ring" and downloaded/prepared the download. When I click install, it resets and the gears come up. The progress bar shows nothing for a few minutes, then the phone resets on its own. It boots 8.1 and everything is the same for me, except I get an error message.

It's probably a temporary problem. To try again, go to Settings > Phone update (0x80070020)
and it just gives me a "close" button.
I really want to start testing this (I have another phone I can use, and am comfortable using the recovery tool to go back to 8.1 if needed). I tried reseting it a few times. I also deleted the insider app, and selected the fast ring enrollment again. I have tried numerous times since this version posted. Any guidance would be appreciated
